What you avoid, controls you. What you face, frees you.

Some things are easier to avoid than to understand. We're here to help with the latter.

PART SCIENCE. PART PHILOSOPHY.

ENTIRELY HUMAN.

01  /  MODERN SOCIETY

We've built a world that rewards us for pushing past our limits.

We mistake overworking for ambition. Perfectionism for excellence. Hypervigilance for preparedness. Self-neglect for discipline.

We've normalized ways of living that keep our nervous systems in a constant state of stress.

And when we struggle to keep up, we rarely question the expectations placed on us. We question ourselves.

But when a plant stops blooming, we don't question its ability to grow. We question the soil. The light. The conditions it's growing in.

You struggle to set boundaries, express your needs, or say no without feeling guilty.

You struggle to ask for help, let people in, or trust someone else to show up for you.

NOW

You overthink every decision, fear making mistakes, and never feel quite good enough.

We believe psychological flexibility is the key to addressing outdated adaptations that continue to govern the way we think, feel, and behave. Drawing from neuroscience, attachment theory, learning theory, and behavioural science, we developed the Adaptive Strategies Framework to better understand how these patterns form, why they persist, and how we can begin to change them.

Because the more flexible we become, the more freedom we have to live intentionally, rather than by default.

The cost of adaptation.

02  /  OUR PERSPECTIVE

At Reflecting Room, we believe many of the struggles we face today can be traced back to the ways we learned to navigate the challenges of yesterday.

Sometimes, the behaviours that once helped us feel safe, accepted, or in control can eventually hold us back from life we want to live.

03  /  THERAPY SERVICES

Find yourself here.

You might come to therapy knowing exactly what you're struggling with — or simply knowing that the way you've been living, relating, or coping isn't working anymore.

THE WORK OF BEING HUMAN

THE WORK OF CHANGE

Change is hard. It asks us to confront things we'd rather avoid, question beliefs we've held for years, and practise doing things differently, even when everything in us wants to fall back into what's familiar. But I've also witnessed what is possible on the other side of change. And it is inspiring. I genuinely want you to build a life that feels like yours, become the highest version of yourself, and reach the goals you set for yourself. Results are important to me. Which means that I won't just tell you what you want to hear. Sometimes, it means I will point out the uncomfortable thing you've been avoiding all session. Other times it means challenging you when you're standing in the way of your own growth. And sometimes, it means giving you the push you need, because I know you're capable of so much more than you believe yourself to be.

The grief. The loss. The heartbreak. The parts of life that knock us down and make it difficult to find our footing again. The experiences that can't be fixed. Only felt. And in those moments, my approach looks very different. I'm not here to push you toward the next breakthrough or turn your pain into a lesson. I'm here to sit with you in the things that cannot be changed, even when they feel unbearable. I genuinely care about the people I work with, and I won't pretend I'm immune to their suffering. Sometimes, my heart hurts right alongside theirs. There's something deeply meaningful about being trusted with the parts of someone's life they struggle to carry alone. Because hurt happens between people. But so does healing.

I've always believed there are two sides to therapy.

The things we can change. And the things we can't.

Here's how I approach both.

05 / FAQ

Before you decide.

The answers to all of your burning questions.

You don't need to be in crisis or have a diagnosis to benefit from therapy.

Sometimes it's enough to know that something isn't working anymore — a pattern you keep repeating, a relationship you're struggling with, a decision you can't seem to make, or simply a version of your life that no longer feels like it fits.

You don't have to know exactly what needs to change to know you're ready for something to.

At Reflecting Room, we work especially well with those navigating:

Anxiety + Overthinking · Perfectionism + Self-Worth · Relationships + Boundaries · OCD + Avoidance · Identity + Life Transitions

A co-pay is simply the portion of your session fee that your insurance doesn't cover.

For example, if your session costs $170 and your insurance covers 80%, your insurer pays $136 and you're responsible for the remaining $34.

If your plan covers 100% of the session fee, there's no co-pay. Easy peasy.

When direct billing is available, I'll submit the claim to your insurer and charge any remaining balance to your card on file.

Of course! You're welcome to alternate between virtual and in-person sessions depending on your schedule, preferences, or what works best for you that week.

In-person sessions are available on Wednesdays and Thursdays, while virtual sessions are offered Monday through Thursday.

If you'd like to switch an in-person appointment to virtual, even at the last minute, that's absolutely fine. There's no cancellation fee for changing formats.

Switching from virtual to in-person is also welcome, provided there's availability at the office. Just give me a heads-up so I can make sure everything is arranged.

If you're looking for a sign,
this is it.

The next step is yours.
